For three generations the Filesi family has been linked to the cultivation of the Tonda Gentile Romana hazelnut, a symbolic fruit of the Cimini Mountains, a hilly area of the Tuscia Viterbese, which has always been suited to hazelnut production. In 1989 Anselmo, who grew up in Vasanello, a medieval village nestled among hazelnut groves, founded the Azienda Agricola Parano, with the desire to create a solid and lasting reality to pass on to his children in the future and thanks to which he could pass on to them the passion for hazelnut farming. sustainability of the Tonda Gentile Romana.
The Filesi family cultivates 20 hectares of hazelnut groves using the organic farming method, which does not deplete natural resources, respects biodiversity and produces genuine fruit. Anselmo and his family strongly believe that only hazelnut farming conducted in harmony with nature can be a source of wealth and well-being for communities and the territory. In 2017 the Parano Agricultural Company equipped itself with its own hazelnut processing laboratory: thus closing the circle of an artisanal supply chain, which gives human and economic value to the work of hazelnut farmers carried out by the Filesi family and to the native Tonda Gentile hazelnut variety Roman.
