We are two friends, young winemakers that started in 2019, pursuing the objective of rediscovering a territory with one of the oldest wine traditions in Italy. Our adventure aims at the enhancing of the autochthonous grape varieties historically present in the area of Vignanello.
Trebbiano, Greco, Malvasia e Grechetto give rise to our white wine “Malandrino”, the result of the perseverance of an intuition: preserve our grandfathers' ancient vineyards.
Since 2022 also a new red berried grape (Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo) vineyard, situated in the area of Vignanello, is part of Casamecoci.
Starting with a careful recovery of the old olive trees already present in our farm, in 2020 we decided to produce our first extra virgin olive oil. We paid particular attention to the entire production process and used advanced continuous extraction methods. The result is a highly structured oil, with a high phenolic content.
The farm spreads over 15 hectares on the Monte Cimino hills, in the Tuscia Viterbese, surrounded by hazelnut and chestnut trees, at an altitude between 300 and 400 m a.s.l. The territory is characterized by the presence of tuffaceous residuals, originated by the volcanic eruptions, typical of the area.
We only use organic farming methods, our priority is to respect the territory we work in and the nature in every decision we make.
Casamecocci is our desire to express the uniqueness of our land through the creation of products with character and strong personality.
